Belt Sander – 100mm x 610mm
This powerful, heavy duty belt sander features one of the largest belt and platen sizes in its class, removing material at a faster rate, ideal for large surface sanding and levelling on wide boards, tabletops and jointed panels. The 1200W motor features electronic speed control, maintaining a constant speed even under heavy under load to ensure a consistent, superior finish.
The 100mm x 610mm sanding belt rides on two drums, each featuring heavy duty, sealed and dust-resistant bearings to ensure smooth, vibration free operation. Behind the belt sits the 550 x 110mm steel platen, engineered with a flat face to ensure a perfectly flat finished surface. The belt can be micro adjusted to track left or right and is quickly released and replaced using the tension locking lever. The belt travels at a speed of 480m/min, delivering a fast material removal rate, particularly when used with the supplied 80 grit belt. An internal labyrinthine construction protects against internal dust ingress whilst providing cooling air to the motor.
The low profile design on the right hand side allows the sander to operate flush against walls, skirting boards or other obstructions, making it an excellent choice for woodworkers, carpenters and floor installers. Soft grip handles on the front and rear of the unit are designed for operator comfort and control, and the rear handle features a lock-on button for continuous use, ideal for extended operation. The sander is supplied with a 360° rotatable dust bag or can be directly connected to shop vacuums. With a robust, cast aluminium body, the sander weighs a substantial 6kg, designed to work efficiently under its own weight and requiring no heavy pressure. ©
